recently I have asked for help with installing KOTOR 1 mods which require the TSLPatcher to put on my App Store macOS copy of the game (not a OSX version as I incorrectly said before).
a few hours ago, I thought I would try out installing another TSLPatcher mod first, again, using TSLPatcher with the help of CrossOver (not PlayOnMac this time). welllll.. it worked! no problem whatsoever. so I think that the problem must have to do with the current version of the Restoration mod itself. (although I did a few weeks ago manage it, somehow.) note that I DL'ed this from Deadly Stream, not NexusMods.
after I had tried on install after replacing the default dialogue.tlk file, as the readme text says to do. this popped up:

without altering the dialogue.tlk file I got this:

in both cases, I had only just installed the first part of the multi-part Restoration mod.
I have posted to here rather than Deadly Stream because I have gotten responses here, whereas on Deadly Stream I haven't.
